Welcome to the Virtual Village Homebrew Society

RESULTS SCHEDULE
The schedule below is a target. I would guess our history is 90% or so success in hitting our targets. This year, since I have everyones email address, there will be very little in the way of results posting until after the event. For results on your entries, look in your email box at about these times. I have also emailed everyone the categories they fall into, so you should have everything you need to know how you did.

Oh, one detail. I will be informing people if they placed in the top 3 in a given category, but exactly what place will not be revealed until the BOS event. All real places will be posted following the event. COME TO BOS!!!

Porter/Stout - 1:00 PM
Strong Ale - 2:00 PM
Pale Ale - 3:00 PM
Amber/Brown Ale - 4:00 PM
German Styles - 5:00 PM
Belgian and Specialty - 6:00 PM
Strong Lagers - 7:00 PM
BOS - 8:00 PM
Sunday morning the results will be posted here

BOS DOOR PRIZES
A chatroom may have no actual door, but we are offering some impressive door prizes none the less! There are 3 "grand" door prizes, the best of which is an autographed copy of "The Great Beers of Belgium" by Michael Jackson. All together 9 door prizes will be awarded. How do you win? I have a random time between 8:00PM EST and 9:00PM EST assigned to every prize. For example, say 8:01:15 (15 seconds past 8:01) is a time. The first message I see to pop into the chatbox (not from the BOS staff) after 8:01:15 will win its sender a prize! The times and prizes are established, so the winners are not up to me - they will be completely random. To be eligable you must be a VVHS member, a NetWort 6 judge (other than BOS) or a NetWort 6 entrant. To win one of the 3 grand door prizes you must be a NetWort 6 entrant or judge (other than BOS). You don't have to have a beer eligable for BOS to be present at the chatroom event or to win a door prize.

MIS AWARD
New this year is a award for the Most Impressive Showing. It will go to the brewer who accumulates the most points. 5 points will be awarded for every 1st place, 3 for every 2nd and 2 for every 3rd. The prize is a framed certificate acknowledging the brewers accomplishment.

RESULTS, LIVE BOS JUDGING AND COCKTAIL PARTY - OPEN TO ALL!
Because CompuServe has done such a great job turning the Bacchus beer and wine forum into a web environment that anyone can enter, we now use that for posting results. Until now, non-CIS members were always deprived of the live BOS ceremony. That is no longer the case! Results will be posted on the "Homebrew Clubs/VVHS" message board. Look for the "chat" button near the top of the screen. We meet in "The Brewery" - see you there! ENTER THE BACCHUS FORUM NOW
There is a breif registration process.
